Nevada Department of Public Safety Mental Health and Wellness

The Nevada State Police announces the Department’s Wellness and Resiliency Program has been awarded a $200,000 Law Enforcement Mental Health and Wellness grant to develop a comprehensive behavioral health care system for personnel, family members, and retirees. This grant will directly address the critical need for increased mental health support within the department. The funds will be used to create a multi-faceted program designed to: •Reduce stigma: Actively combat the stigma often associated with seeking help for mental health concerns. •Enhance awareness: Implement educational resources and training programs to raise awareness of mental health issues, build resiliency and resistance against stress, and promote
